POSTDOCTORAL POSITION
ELEMENTARY PARTICLE THEORY
UNIVERSITY OF OREGON

The particle theory group at the University of Oregon anticipates having a position for a postdoctoral research associate in elementary particle theory. We seek a candidate with demonstrated potential to conduct independent research that will make a significant contribution to elementary particle physics. The position begins in Fall 2004 and is anticipated to continue for two years. Our group consists of Nilendra Deshpande, Dave Soper and Stephen Hsu. Our interests include physics of the b quark, experimental signatures of new theories, quantum chromodynamics, and properties of matter at high baryon density. In addition, the University of Oregon has an active experimental group in high energy physics. Candidates should send a curriculum vitae and publication list and arrange to have three letters of recommendation sent to Theory Search Committee, Institute of Theoretical Science, University of Oregon, Eugene, OR 97403-5203. At the option of the recommender, letters of recommendation in simple ASCII text or in TeX can be sent by email to janblank@oregon.uoregon.edu.

For full consideration, applications should be complete by January 15, 2004. The University of Oregon is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Institution committed to cultural diversity and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Position Number: 3189.
