Note: Plain TeX commands usually confuse the LaTeX2HTML converter. Even though LaTeX understands TeX, the converter does not.

To learn LaTeX, probably the best reference is LaTeX, A Document Preparation System, by Leslie Lamport (Addison-Wesley, 1986).
