He finds himself at rest 30m from his stationary spaceship. He has a 10kg scientific instrument and is capable of throwing it at a speed of 4m/s. If the astronaut's mass is 100kg including suit, will he make it the ship in time before his oxygen runs out? How far away from the ship will the instrument be when the astronaut reaches his ship (dead or alive)?
