In this class, we will investigate what is known about the Universe and then discuss current models for the Universe. Although our understanding of the origin and evolution of the Universe is by no stretch of the imagination complete, it is rather amazing (at least to me) that we believe we have a chance to find answers to some of the questions which are posed. We will go into some of the more amazing issues in this course. The administrative issues connected with this class are found in the syllabus .
