The Center for Astrophysics Redshift Survey was initiated in the late
70's by Marc Davis and John Huchra.  The main telescope which has been
used is the 60-inch telescope at Mt. Hopkins.  The CFA redshift survey
has been going strong for the last 15 years, and with the expert analysis
of Margeret Geller, has been one of the most valuable resources for the
entire astronomical community.
