We are competetive in everything we do to the point that we are destroying our own world.  In the quest of becoming great, affluent, powerful, etc. we are ignoring some very big problems we are causing along the way
the selfishness and ignorance of the great majority

the stupidity of the general majority and our own human nature which does not seem to be changing or unlearned. Yoda. These innate qualities.

our inability to plan for the long term.


Our willingness to change aspects of our lives which we have come to associate with everyday living.

The fact that we have no idea as to what is out there (space, other countries, in our atmoshpere)  and we have no idea what we are doing to those places!  We'll probably end up killing ourselves.
