The entire key to this class will lie in
your ability to unlearn what you think you know, and concentrate on
developing a strictly empirical understanding of nature. Naturally,
that understanding will be in conflict with your biases and cultural
pre-dispostion to believe certain things must be true.
If we can successfully engage in this tactic throughout the term, then
will have duplicted, in some small part, the real process of
knowledge acquisition and conflict with bias.
Some thoughts on the nature of science









A large undertone in this course will be an elucidation of the
"Detector" problem as it relates to the last slide showing our
assumptions.
