Details on 251-2-3 Grading
Homework:

Normally due before 5:00 on date listed on the schedule.

Turn in homework in the slot indicated in the 25n-Frey box in the
basement
of Wil. Hall
-
Graded homework will be returned to the same box, by letter of your
last
name.

Late homework is better than none. But here are the penalties:
-
turned in before 9:00 next morning: -20%
-
turned in before 5:00 next day: -30%
-
turned in more than one day late (i.e. after solutions posted on the
web):
-60% (No credit if the work is clearly copied from the web.)

You are welcome (encouraged) to work on the homework with other 25n
students
and get help from me, TAs, or drop-in help.

But you must turn in your own work
Exams:
-
There will be 2 midterm exams and one final exam.
-
Exams are closed book; a page of equations and information will be
provided
(and will be made available a few days before the exam).

A practice exam will be provided about a week before the exam.
-
The lowest midterm score will be dropped if a better score on the Final
is achieved.
